REGISTRATION

What is the fee for registration?

The registration fee is $125.00

How can I pay for attending the conference?

Registration for the 2018 Project Management Conference will open on Tuesday, July 10. You can pay for the Project Management Conference using any major credit card or debit card. Click the registration button and proceed through registration to pay for your attendance. If you require the use of an alternative payment method, email pmconf@psu.edu.

What does my registration include?

Your registration includes attendance to all sessions available at the conference, continental breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, snacks and beverages throughout, and the availability of presentation slides after the conference.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

A full refund will be made available for registrations cancelled before October 31, 2018. To cancel your registration, please email pmconf@psu.edu.

Can I transfer my registration?

You can transfer your registration at anytime by emailing pmconf@psu.edu.

 

HOTEL

How can I reserve a hotel room?

The conference is taking place at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center at the University Park Campus. Reservations can be made by calling The Penn Stater at 1-800-2337505.

Is there a special hotel rate?

A small block of rooms has been reserved at The Penn Stater for the night of Tuesday, November 6 at a discounted rate of $114 per room plus applicable tax. Reservations can be made on a first-come, first-serve basis by calling The Penn Stater at 1-800-233-7505 and providing the group code “PROJ18A” or the block name “Project Management Conference” to receive the discounted rate.

 

AGENDA & SESSIONS

Where can I find an agenda for the event?

An agenda for the event will be made available mid-summer on our website. You will receive an email notifying you that the agenda is ready!

What type of sessions can I expect?

Sessions can be focused on topics such as team building, change management, portfolio management, project management office (PMO), stakeholder management, higher education challenges for project managers, soft skills, etc.

Sessions may be interactive, involve group work, or share the journey of a project.

How do I register for sessions?

We do not offer registration for sessions. On the day of the event, you are able to select the session(s) you would like to attend.

Will there be online streaming of the event?

There will not be online streaming of the event. After the conference, speakers who choose to share their presentations with attendees will have their presentations made available on our website. You will be notified when those are available via email.

Do I earn professional development units (PDUs) for attending the keynote and breakout sessions?

Yes. You will earn 1 PDU for attending the morning Keynote session and 1 PDU for the afternoon Keynote session. For each breakout session you attend, you will earn 1 PDU. Additional information regarding how to report your PDUs can be found on the Project Management Institute (PMI) website.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

Who do I contact if I have any special dietary or other needs?

Special dietary needs and all other needs will be asked when registering for the event. If you have questions, or are not sure if you specified your dietary needs, please email us at pmconf@psu.edu.

What is the recommended attire for the event?

The dress code for the event is business casual.
